Daisy Chain

 

You may "daisy chain" multiple devices off of the same SCSI card or cards, as long as your InveStore license covers the added slot capacity of the sum total of all the devices, and the storage system is able to function stably within the SCSI specification for those devices.

One important criteria is that the library SCSI ID must be lower than drive IDs, and the drive IDs must be in contiguous sequence.

 

An example of the proper way to setup two libraries on the same SCSI BUS is as follows:
