Removing CD Claim from Windows Registry

Important Note: The following information is provided on a "use at your own risk" basis. Only experienced Windows Administrators should edit the registry. Before making any changes to the registry, always make a backup of the system for later restoration if needed.

To remove the "claim" InveStore has on an internal CD-ROM device in the server, open REGEDIT and locate the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ ControlSet001\Services\PDTfsd2\DeviceList

This should list all the devices that are being claimed by InveStore. Select the entry for the internal CD-ROM device that is displayed in this key and delete this entry.

Reboot the server and then restart InveStore.
