Drive Settings
The Drive Settings provides options for setting the "bias" for the specific drive, and for determining its status:

Drive Bias
There are five Drive settings:
· System Bias- the drive functions for Read and Write operations per the bias for the whole storage system.
· Read Only- the drive functions for Read Only operations. With this setting the drive will NOT process any Write (or format) operations.
· Read- the drive handles all operations, but handles Read operations with a higher priority level.
· Write Only- the drive functions for Write Only operations. With this setting the drive will NOT process any Read (or mount) operations.
· Write- the drive handles all operations, but handles Write operations with a higher priority level.
Status
The status indicator is for Online or Offline:
· Online- the drive is available for processing all operations within the library.
· Offline- The drive is not available for processing any operations within the library. This is normally used when experiencing a hardware failure with a specific drive. You may place the drive Offline, and use the remaining drives in the library, until the drive is service and/or replaced.
